Open Day

Huge thanks to everyone who made this a hugely successful day at Parkgate Astro

Rotherham.

It was great to see so many familiar faces as well as lots of people coming to see what Ru3a

is all about. Everyone commented what a friendly welcome they received.

Art and Crafts were well-

represented, showcasing their

talents.

We have several Art groups,

Yarn Addicts, Creative Writing

and the Embroidery and Soft

Furnishings.

The cushions that were on sale

were soon sold out!

The ukulele group played throughout the morning, with Bridge and Mahjong being played

during the afternoon. Anyone interested in learning to play either of these games please

contact us.

If you are interested in singing, we have a Choir group and a more relaxed, Singing for Fun

Group. A great way to socialise and so much research suggesting it is good for your well-

being. You don’t have to be able to hold a tune – just come and have fun.

Language groups proved a popular attraction with interest in our French, Spanish and

Italian. We also have interest in Beginners Italian and German if we are able to get someone

willing to lead the groups!

Staying Active?

The Line Dancers were out in force, dancing along with the Ukulele group. However, if Line

Dancing is not your thing why not try Country Dancing or Come Dancing (Sequence).

Sequence Dancing beginners’ sessions starting soon – contact us for more details.

Thankfully the weather was perfect. Both the Walking Football and Walking Cricket tasters

proved very popular with everyone enjoying re-connecting with sports they loved.

You will be pleased to know that both these sports are played indoors over the winter!

Go2Padel

were taking names for free taster sessions later in the year. We are looking

excited to be forging links with this exciting new venture in Hellaby.

Learn, Laugh, Live
