Are you looking to socialise, do light exercise and play a competitive game of cricket with people of similar skill levels, varying from absolute beginners to those who have played in the distant past? We are an all-inclusive group welcoming both women and men and people from all backgrounds. Rotherham u3a Walking Cricket group is one of a growing number of u3a teams across the county. We play friendlies against teams from other towns, in addition to our weekly Rotherham sessions.

Equipment and support have been given to the group by the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation who continue to support u3a walking cricket groups across the county. Starting in April 2021, the group has now developed into a friendly, sociable group playing a regular game of cricket and enjoying social lunches at a variety of venues.

SPECIAL MENTION: Angie Nash is a member of the Rotherham u3a Walking Cricket Group.

Angie did Ru3a proud by playing for a Yorkshire Walking Cricket Team selected from Walking Cricket Groups around the county against a Worcestershire Walking Cricket Team at Barnsley on Thursday 15 June 2023.

Angie played brilliantly helping Yorkshire beat Worcestershire in the Yorkshire teams first county game (see Angie's photo on this page)
