We are a small, friendly group with a wide range of skills and equipment from basic cameras to SLRs – all that is required is an interest in photography. We aim to have field trips every alternate Thursday morning from 10-12 noon at a varied mix of local venues with each member taking a turn to lead and additionally we set a monthly nominated theme where the creative juices can flow!

The Editor of Rotherham Life Community magazine, Chanel Hosefield, asked if the Ru3a Photography group would be able and willing to produce a set of photographs for use in their new magazine, covering homes in areas with S60 post codes. She was particularly interested in districts S60 2, 3, and 4. 4
Diane Watson consulted her group members who took it on as a summer project. Diane has now submitted their photos to the editor, who is delighted with all of them. All of the photos will be placed on the Rotherham Life website asap and she’s intending to include some or all in the September issue of the new magazine. Doubtless all of the photos will appear in the magazine over time.
Diane and the group deserve our thanks and congratulations for the brilliant way that they took up the challenge, producing high quality photos as usual, and in so doing, have provided the Ru3a with excellent publicity.
Patricia Macredie is our Publicity Officer
